Charissa D. Pizarro In Jersey City And Hoboken, NJ

Whether it is your first time in therapy or not, I can appreciate the difficulty and ambivalence of engaging in psychotherapy.  The process of finding the right therapist is daunting! What I have to offer is a safe space where you will not be judged for who you are or what you bring, somewhere you can be yourself and bring any issues no matter how trivial they may seem to the lay individual. Together we can devise a plan of action and you can begin your journey. This will be a collaborative process as therapy should be.

I am a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I have 20+ years of experience working with Multicultural populations with diverse presenting complaints ranging from adjustment disorders to psychosis. I have successfully treated individuals across the lifespan (age 4 years to older adults). Throughout my career, I have specialized in depression, anxiety, and teaching my clients coping skills and tools to deal with their presenting issues whatever those may be.  I pride myself not only in my successes in the areas of depression and anxiety but in the transformations I have witnessed in my trauma clients. The transformation is most rewarding for both client and psychologist. I have conducted research during my Masters Degree and Doctorate degree with this population and continue to work with them now. Please note, I have worked with trauma survivors who are children as well as adults and older adults. Contact me and let's discuss how I may help you!

Mission

Many individuals are plagued with anxiety, depression, and trauma among so much more baggage people carry.  My mission is to help individuals transform into a better version of themselves. Change is difficult but therapy can help.  Like my logo of the butterfly, let me help you transform into your best self.

Vision

My vision is to provide quality culturally sensitive services to facilitate change in the individual, family, or system.
