Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidenced based treatment for children and teenagers who have experienced trauma. The treatment is conducted with a parent or caregiver. TF-CBT is a components-based therapy and can be used as a standalone or adjunctive therapy. TF-CBT is most successful with individuals between 3 and 18 years old. TF-CBT may be used for children who have experiences one traumatic incident or multiple traumas.
